Inside this maze
The 12-column, 12-row grid has 144 cells joined by right-angle passages. Follow the openings between squares, not the lines themselves. When a corridor bends back toward the start, keep tracing it: distance toward the finish is not a reliable test of whether a branch is useful.
The stored shortest solution takes 48 cell-to-cell steps. Across the whole grid there are 19 dead-end cells and 17 junctions with at least three open connections. These are measured layout features, not a predicted solving time; exploring a wrong branch adds distance beyond the answer-key route.
This is an unbraided maze: the generator has not opened extra passages to make loops. A failed branch can be retraced to the last junction, where you can rule it out and try another opening.
Who this puzzle suits
A step up for a solver who already finishes small mazes without help.
Paper size and answer key
Print one maze per sheet at actual size, using the A4 or US Letter PDF that matches your paper.
The puzzle PDF leaves the route unmarked. Keep the solution SVG as a separate answer key, or compare your route with the on-screen solution after trying the puzzle. Check that each move passes through an opening and reaches the marked finish, rather than judging only whether the pencil line looks like the answer.
