About Maze Printables

Maze Printables helps you make, print, and solve mazes. Pick a quick sheet for your class or a hard puzzle to work through at home. We aim for sharp lines, clear paths, and a level that suits the person holding the pencil.

Who we are

We are a small team of engineers and puzzle fans based in the United States. Our work draws on code, geometry, and teaching. We build mazes to be solved, not just to look good on a page.

We launched in 2025 to make print-ready mazes for teachers, parents, and puzzle fans. We run the site on our own, with no venture funding. That lets us focus on what makes a good puzzle and what our readers need.

Why we built this

A maze is hard to enjoy when its lines blur in print or each new sheet feels the same. Finding one should not require a sign-up form. We built this site with four goals:

  • Sharp prints — clear walls on 8.5×11" and A4 paper at 100% scale, with room around the edges
  • Useful levels — labels based on the length of the answer, dead ends, and forks, rather than guesses
  • Free files — PDF, SVG, and PNG downloads with no account or paywall
  • Repeatable mazes — the same seed and settings give the same maze. Share a saved link so each student gets the same sheet.

What you can do

  • Make a rectangle, circle, or hex maze, then choose its size and level
  • Print a PDF, resize an SVG, or use a PNG image
  • Solve on screen, ask for a hint, or view the answer
  • Choose a maze pack for kids, a class, or adults who want a challenge

Quality process

Our software checks each maze before we add it to the library. Here is what we check:

  1. A working route — every maze has a checked path from start to finish. A “perfect” maze has just one. Braided mazes have loops and can offer more than one route.
  2. A measured level — the score uses the answer length, depth of dead ends, number of forks, and braid setting. It gives each maze an Easy, Medium, Hard, or Expert label.
  3. File checks — tests check the PDF page size and wall thickness across maze shapes and sizes.
  4. Print checks — we also test sheets on home inkjet and laser printers. We check that walls stay clear in black and white with normal margins.

Clear walls and even spacing matter as much as the route. A pencil line should fit without hiding the next turn. The same seed and settings let you print the same maze again, and our file tests help keep each copy sharp.

Editorial independence

We do not take payment to feature a maze, write a sponsored post, or promote a maze through affiliate links. Our own software selects and scores the mazes and packs. Rachel Bennett writes our blog guides, which we review for accuracy before they go live.
